My name is Teresa Piscioneri. I joined Fitness Made Clear in January 2017 when I decided to finally get into shape and do something about my medical condition. As the saying goes, “Kill two birds with one stone”
Having never really worked out before, I knew I needed a personal trainer who was willing to not only address my medical situation but also have the patience to teach me what to do. Fortunately for me, I was set up with Stephen.
Stephen is wonderful - he is helpful, patient and very good at what he does. He and I not only became friends but a team.
Stephen set me up with an exercise and weight loss program customized for my needs and we set goals each week to keep me accountable.
He taught me how to do exercises like planks, push-ups, TRX Rows, and lunges. As I progressed, he would teach me to use different pieces of equipment.
I wanted to learn, so I would ask him why we were doing an exercise? and he would always explain the exercise and what it was good for.
He helped me commit to change my eating habits by cooking healthier and taught me what foods to eat and what to look for on the nutrition labels.
During our time Stephen not only listened and encouraged me but challenged me to give it my all. Now, one year later I have lost 43 pounds and lowered my cholesterol 76 points. I am at a weight and size that I haven’t seen since 1981. WHAT A FEELING!
In my opinion, you should work out with a personal trainer like Stephen because he will help you achieve your health goals. Take your passion and make it happen!
My name is Teresa Luk. I am 61 years old and works as a Computer Specialist for New York City Department of Transportation. After working with Stephen for five months, I have lost over 35 pounds!
When I started I was overweight and suffered from high blood pressure, high blood sugar, fibromyalgia, mild depression. I needed to lose weight and get into better shape as I prepared for my third and final act of life.
I wasn't sure when I started but I decided to give it a try. I learned fitness and eating right is a lifetime commitment and that it takes time to undo years of damage and unhealthy habits.
I learn to adjust and push on and things got easier. I am physically stronger and I am happy changing those “used to” things into “can do” things.
What I've learned has continued to help me after my training. I do the same strength training exercises that I have learned twice a week and have joined a small fitness group (1-2 times/week). I still have a problem with chocolate and good pastries but I have learned how to manage/counteract my bad habits on eating.
If I hadn't taken action I know my condition would have deteriorated. I would have felt stressed and depressed.
If you are thinking about getting a trainer, I would recommend Stephen. He is skilled, thoughtful, and a pleasure to work with and talk to. He knows how and when to encourage and when to push but never too much. He is very passionate about fitness and that helped motivate me. Whatever your goals are, Stephen will definitely assist you in getting there.
